COLORADO OUTDOORS MAGAZINE
Ron Belak publishes about four articles each year in Colorado Outdoor magazine. He wrote an article in the January/February 2022 issue on ethical outdoor recreation. This article earned best of show in the writing category in Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers 2022 annual competition. Ron's article on Colorado wildflowers appeared in the March/April 2022 issue. He wrote about easy backpacks for trout (lakes requiring less than 2-mile hikes) in the 2022 Annual Fishing Guide. The July/August 2022 issue contained Ron's article on budget fly-fishing equipment. Ron published an article in the January/February 2023 issue on courteous and responsible fishing. The March/April 2023 issue will contain Ron's article on fishing high lakes at and above timberline. Additional topics for 2023 include mid-range backpacks for trout and unconventional uses of conventional fly patterns for trout.
